Guides by Health Need

Six everyday concerns, and the herbs and spices traditionally trusted to help.

Immune Support

Turmeric, ginger and garlic have stood at the front of every home remedy cabinet for generations — here's why.

Read the full guide
A resilient immune system is built daily, not overnight. Turmeric's warming compounds make it a favourite stirred into warm milk each morning, while a thumb of fresh ginger steeped in hot water is the first reach for the start of a cold. Raw garlic, crushed and taken on an empty stomach, has long been trusted to support the body's natural defences, and moringa leaf powder folded into porridge adds a dense boost of everyday nourishment. Used consistently rather than only when symptoms appear, these four work best as a quiet daily habit.

Digestive Comfort

Fennel, peppermint and cumin ease the everyday discomfort that follows a heavy meal.

Read the full guide
Fennel seed, chewed slowly after a meal, has long been the simplest answer to bloating — it's why many households keep a small jar of it right on the dining table. Peppermint, steeped as a tea, settles a restless stomach and clears a heavy head, while toasted cumin folded into food supports digestion before discomfort even sets in. Ginger remains the most versatile of the three, equally at home in a cup of tea or grated fresh over a meal that needs a little extra warmth.

Calm & Restful Sleep

Chamomile and lavender, taken as an evening ritual, help quiet a busy mind before bed.

A cup of chamomile tea an hour before bed is one of the gentlest rituals you can build into an evening — it asks nothing of you beyond the few quiet minutes it takes to steep. Lavender works well alongside it, whether as a dried sachet tucked under a pillow or a drop of diluted oil on the wrist. Neither is a sedative; both simply invite the body to slow down, which is often all that's needed after a long day.

Joint & Muscle Ease

Turmeric and eucalyptus bring warmth and comfort to tired joints and overworked muscles.

Turmeric's reputation for easing everyday stiffness has earned it a permanent place in the home remedy cabinet — taken daily in warm milk, it works quietly over time rather than as an instant fix. Eucalyptus oil, massaged into sore muscles or inhaled as steam, brings a warming relief that pairs especially well after a long day on your feet. Ginger, too, has a place here: a warm ginger compress is a traditional answer to a stiff back or aching shoulder.

Skin & Wound Care

Aloe vera, neem and calendula have soothed skin and supported healing for generations.

Fresh aloe vera gel, applied directly, is the simplest answer to a sunburn or a patch of dry skin — its cooling relief is almost immediate. Neem, traditionally used in diluted leaf paste or oil, has long supported minor skin irritation, while calendula-infused oil is a gentle choice for soothing the skin around a small cut or scrape as it heals. Together they make a quiet, natural first line of skin care worth keeping close at hand.

Respiratory & Cold Season

Eucalyptus, thyme and honey are the trio most reached for when the rains roll in.

Read the full guide
When congestion sets in, a bowl of hot water with a few drops of eucalyptus oil, inhaled under a towel, remains one of the most reliable home remedies passed down through generations. Thyme, steeped as a tea with a spoon of raw honey, soothes a scratchy throat and a persistent cough, and that same honey is just as effective taken alone before bed. None of the three replace rest and plenty of warm fluids, but together they make the difficult days a little easier.

Frequently Asked

Questions, Answered

The things our customers ask us most, in one place.

Are your remedies safe to use alongside prescribed medication?

Most herbs and spices are safe as part of a normal diet, but some can interact with certain medications or conditions. If you're currently on prescribed medication, pregnant, nursing, or managing a chronic condition, please check with your doctor or pharmacist before introducing a new remedy.

How should I store dried herbs and spices?

Keep them in airtight glass jars, away from direct sunlight and heat — a cupboard shelf works better than a spot above the cooker. Most dried herbs stay potent for 12 to 18 months; our free home remedy cabinet guide below has more detail.

Do you deliver outside Nairobi?

Yes — we ship across Kenya. Delivery timeframes and costs depend on your location, and you'll see these clearly at checkout before you confirm your order.

How do I track an order I've already placed?

Head over to Track Order and enter your order number to see exactly where your remedies are.

Why does ordering sometimes pause for a day each week?

We honour a weekly day of rest in keeping with our faith, in step with the Sabbath. Ordering pauses during that time and resumes automatically afterward — nothing you do is lost, and any cart you've started will still be waiting for you.

Can I ask for a custom remedy bundle?

Absolutely — message us on WhatsApp and tell us what you're looking to support, and we'll help you put together a bundle that fits.
